Jon Rosenthal, aka Footpaths, is mostly known for his various musical techniques in Eitarnora.

A native to Illinois & located in the city of Chicago, Footpaths is a subtle reprise of meditative undertones & understanding.

"Riddles Wisely Expounded" was originally intended to be released in 2009. Having been lost to the "archives" & recently unearthed.

Marmara is proud to announce our return with this slow burner.

"Riddles Wiseley Expounded" by Footpaths will be released as a dual 7" vinyl lathe picture disc inserted into a black die cut sleeve. All physical copies will include a download code, insert & have a numbered indication.

Hand numbered edition of 25, very limited quantities.

"I started Footpaths the Summer after my freshman year in college, and the idea of recording music on my own, even into a pinhole microphone, was liberating. Endless setbacks put these early recordings on the back burner, and I ended up forgetting this last part of Footpaths's "first chapter" before eventually switching gears a few years later. Digging these songs up now, seven years later, fills me with a unique sort of nostalgia - maybe not the same kind of "historic" nostalgia the "small town America" direction embodies, but something more personal. Reveling in my own naivete is strange, but this collection of clumsy, raw, musique concrete folk songs fills me with a joyous shame."

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

S'aventurer dans la discographie de Jute Gyte, c'est explorer un black metal qui devient de plus en plus fou. Cet album repousse encore les limites : c'est l'horreur de la perte de l'identité.
